Finely detailed engraving adds a life-like quality to your coin's design by Celia Godkin. A beloved Canadian emblem, Acer saccharum is easily identified by the distinctive shape of the two leaves featured in this natural portrait. Attached to the twig by its petiole, each sugar maple leaf seemingly reaches for the opposite side of the coin while revealing the deeply etched veins that run through their palmate lobes, towards the pointed tips. The maple twig also bears three u-shaped, double-winged fruits that extend from slender stalks. The obverse features the effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth by Susanna Blunt.
Your coin comes packaged in a display-ready presentation folder.
Yours to give or keep, this classic Canadian coin is the perfect size and price for starting a new collection or adding to an existing one.
